Psychiatric care delivered by one clinician who knows your history

Each service below is available in the office or by secure video, and every plan is built with you rather than handed to you.

Medication Management

Careful, evidence-based prescribing with regular review — never set-and-forget.

Medication can be a powerful part of psychiatric care, but only when it is matched to the whole person: your history, your goals, your other medications, and how you actually feel day to day.

We start with a thorough review of what you have tried before and what did or did not work. From there we build a plan together, start at a sensible dose, and check in often enough to catch side effects early.

  • Initial prescribing and ongoing titration
  • Side-effect monitoring and management
  • Deprescribing and taper planning when appropriate
  • Coordination with your primary care provider and therapist

Psychiatric Evaluation

A comprehensive first visit that takes the time to understand the full picture.

Your initial evaluation is an unhurried conversation covering your current symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, family history, sleep, substance use, and what you want to be different.

You leave with a working diagnosis, a clear explanation of the reasoning behind it, and a written plan for next steps.

  • Unhurried, comprehensive intake
  • Diagnostic clarification and second opinions
  • Written treatment plan you can take with you
  • Referrals to therapy and other specialists as needed

Telepsychiatry

Secure video follow-ups once you are established — the same standard of care, without the commute.

We use a hybrid model. Your first appointment — the evaluation and screening — is always in person at our Central Islip office, because there is no substitute for that first face-to-face visit.

After that, many patients handle most of their follow-ups by secure, HIPAA-compliant video, with periodic in-person visits when care calls for it. All you need is a private space and a device with a camera.

  • Secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform
  • For established patients, after an in-person intake
  • Periodic in-person visits when clinically appropriate
  • Available to patients located in New York State

ADHD Assessment

Structured evaluation for attention concerns in adults and older teens.

Attention difficulties have many causes — ADHD, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, and thyroid conditions can all look similar from the outside.

Our assessment uses standardized rating scales alongside a detailed developmental and academic history to reach a diagnosis you can trust.

  • Standardized rating scales and collateral history
  • Differential workup for look-alike conditions
  • Stimulant and non-stimulant treatment options
  • Documentation for school and workplace accommodations

Anxiety & Depression Treatment

Practical, collaborative treatment for the two most common reasons people come to us.

Anxiety and depression are highly treatable, and most people improve meaningfully within the first few months of a well-matched plan.

We combine medication management with clear guidance on sleep, activity, and therapy referrals, then measure progress so you can see it rather than guess at it.

  • Measurement-based care using validated symptom scales
  • Treatment-resistant depression consultation
  • Panic disorder and generalized anxiety
  • Close collaboration with your therapist

Mood Disorder Care

Long-term partnership for bipolar disorder and other complex mood conditions.

Mood disorders benefit enormously from continuity — a clinician who knows your baseline, recognizes an early shift, and can act before an episode gains momentum.

We focus on stability first, then on the quality of your life between episodes.

  • Bipolar I and II management
  • Mood stabilizer monitoring and lab review
  • Early-warning planning with you and your family
  • Seasonal and postpartum mood conditions

Supportive Therapy

Practical, supportive talk woven into your visits — with more therapy offerings on the way.

Medication works best alongside a conversation. Many of our visits include supportive therapy — practical, in-the-moment guidance on the stressors, habits, and thinking patterns shaping how you feel.

We are expanding our therapy services over time. For structured, weekly psychotherapy today, we maintain close referral relationships and coordinate care so nothing falls through the cracks.

  • Supportive therapy integrated into medication visits
  • Practical coping and problem-solving strategies
  • Warm referrals for dedicated weekly psychotherapy
  • Expanded therapy offerings coming soon
